This year, taking a page out of STFM’s Annual Poetry and Prose Reading, we hope to launch a new tradition of sharing our stories in a relaxed and thoughtful venue. Attendees at the Conference on Families and Health know the value of narrative techniques in understanding our patients. Our hope is to provide a casual forum at the conference to share our own caregiving narratives with one another. Participants are invited to bring their own poems and prose to share with peers to stimulate reflection and enjoyment. The group will discuss the role of expressive writing in self-care as well as its role in teaching and modeling humanism for our learners.
