Conference Rates:

Room Reservations:

Please make your reservations directly with the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to request the special rate for the Conference on Patient Education when making your reservations. The deadline for reservations within the block of rooms for this conference is October 15. However, if conference attendance exceeds expectations, rooms in the conference block may be sold out prior to this date.

Please make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure your preferred accommodations. After October 15, rooms will be on a space- and rate-available basis. Disney World is offering conference attendees discount tickets to Disney theme parks. These ticket packages are exclusive to meeting attendees and their immediate family. The tickets are not available for purchase at the park gates, but must be purchased in advance. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.

Airfare:

Passport Travel, STFM’s official travel agency, is available to help you with your airline arrangements. For travel assistance and other special services, call 800-417-2902 and ask for the "STFM Travel Desk." Office hours are 9 am - 5 pm (CST) Monday through Friday.

Rental Car:

Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. has been selected as the official rental car agency for this year’s conference. For reservations, please call Budget at 800- 772-3773, or you can make your reservations online at www.budget.com. Please be sure to use the following convention discount code for our conference when making your reservation: U063655. Rates for the conference begin at $26.99 daily/$108.99 weekly, with special "weekend rates" available beginning at $25.99 per day. Rates include unlimited mileage and are valid for up to one week before/after the conference.

Child Care:

For scheduling information and fees, contact the hotel concierge desk at 407-827-4000. Rates and programs may vary based on the number and ages of children.

Shuttle Service/Ground Transportation:

Shuttle service to the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort from the Orlando airport is available through Mears Transportation Shuttle. The transportation desk is located near the baggage claim area. This shuttle service is currently $29.00 round-trip. Taxi service from the airport to the hotel is approximately $35.00 to $40.00 one way. Please check rates with the taxi driver before leaving the airport. The Hilton is approximately 30 minutes from the airport.

CME Hours:

This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 28.5 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Seven of these credits conform to the AAFP criteria for evidence-based CME clinical content. The amount of EB CME has been doubled to reflect 2 for 1 credit for only the EB CME portion.

When reporting CME credit, AAFP members should report total Prescribed credits earned for this activity. It is not necessary for members to label credit as evidence-based CME for reporting purposes.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the AAFP and STFM. The AAFP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 28.5 hours in Category 1 credit toward the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

This continuing nursing education activity has been submitted for approval to the Missouri Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Cancellation Policy

Written cancellations received before October 17 will qualify for a full registration refund. Written cancellations received between October 17 and October 24 will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after October 24.
