NEW FOR 2005 - "Meeting Mentoring Program"

This is an opportunity for members who are new to STFM or new to the Predoctoral Education Conference to link up with an STFM member who is familiar with the organization and the meeting. Your meeting mentor will help explain the Predoctoral Education Conference and introduce you to other conference attendees who may have interests similar to yours. Mentors and mentees are paired randomly at the STFM office; we’ll e-mail the pairs to participants a week or so prior to the Predoctoral Education Conference. We suggest that meeting mentors and mentees come together at the Meeting Orientation session from 6–6:30 pm on January 27. At that point, each mentor/mentee pair will decide how and when they will periodically get together throughout the conference.

Optional Tour - "STFM Group Trip to Santa Fe"
Saturday, January 29, 2-9 pm

Join your STFM colleagues and friends, board the deluxe coach, and travel north about an hour to historic and picturesque Santa Fe, New Mexico! Enjoy a guided walking tour, visiting such points of interest as the historic Plaza and the Loretto Chapel, with its famous "miraculous" staircase. Founded in 1610, Santa Fe was the last stop on the Camino Real, the fabled Royal Road that stretched from Mexico City to the northernmost reaches of the Spanish Empire. Today it is the heart and soul of the Southwest, and "Santa Fe Style" is synonymous with all the best the region has to offer. After the walking tour, you may continue to explore on your own. Nearly all the city’s main cultural attractions are also within walking distance of the Plaza, including the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and the Palace of the Governors. Museums usually close by 5 pm. Enjoy dinner on your own. A professional tour guide will provide maps and offer suggestions (advance dinner reservations are recommended). Travel time is approximately 1 hour each way.
Additional Fee: $45 per person
(Includes deluxe coach transportation, walking tour of Santa Fe Plaza area, admission to historic Loretto Chapel, bottled water on coach, and all applicable taxes.) Note: STFM reserves the right to cancel this tour if minimum-required participation is not met. If cancelled, you will receive a full refund from STFM.
