The New Faculty Scholar Award

This award is the STFM Foundation's initiative to develop leaders in our discipline. Attendance at national meetings is one way to help develop leaders and leadership skills. This award is for up to $1,000 and is intended to cover travel and hotel expenses for attendance at the STFM Annual Spring Conference.

Criteria:

The nominee must:

Be an active member of STFM.
Be a full-time faculty member at a family medicine department or family practice residency program who has been employed in academic family medicine for less than 2 years.
Not currently be a fellow, either full-time or part-time.
Not be presenting at the STFM Annual Spring Conference.
Arrive 1 day early to attend the Faculty Development Series session.
Attend all designated functions at the Annual Spring Conference for New Faculty Scholar winners.

In addition, financial need for funding to attend the meeting will be considered.
