One of the strongest features of the Society is the
opportunity members have to work with others to address
their special interests. By participating in a wide
variety of committees, task forces, and groups, STFM
members can effect changes in an ever-growing number
of areas.
STFM groups define an ongoing interest group of members
that work toward specific goals. Groups allow members
to address special areas of interest and develop
curricula, monographs, meetings, and networks.
Membership is open to all STFM members.

International
The purpose of the International Committee
is to promote 1) the understanding and teaching of
family medicine throughout the world, 2) the training
of family physicians able to address health care needs
in their communities in various countries, and 3) the
spirit of cooperation in international exchange for
the mutual development of all participants. The main
activities of the group are to provide an opportunity
for family medicine educators with interests and professional
activity related to our stated purpose to network,
and to arrange a forum for dissemination of related
endeavors at the STFM Annual Spring Conference.
