Workshop II: Research Skills -
Getting Started With the Basics
This workshop orients novice faculty researchers to the basics
of educational and clinical research design, planning, implementation,
and communication. Participants have an opportunity to refine a
research question, determine the research design most appropriate
for this specific question, ask questions of experienced researchers,
and share ideas for future research.

Discuss research designs and which are most appropriate for specific types of questions

Identify available resources to assist in research planning and implementation

Discuss appropriate tools and methods for managing data

Describe requirements for publication of research results
