Priority 10 of the Future of Family Medicine report focuses on leadership and advocacy and recommends the establishment of a leadership center for family medicine and primary care that will develop strategies to promote family physicians and other primary care physicians as health policy and research leaders in their communities, in government, and in other influential groups.
Our first step in this endeavor is the development of an online inventory of the leadership development activities sponsored by the family of family medicine. Click here to view and search through these leadership programs.
We plan to build on this site and welcome your ideas. Contact Roger Sherwood, sherwood@stfm.org for feedback on this site.
If you have a family medicine leadership program to add to this online inventory, e-mail Traci Nolte, STFM communications director, at tnolte@stfm.org. STFM is currently managing this site.
The Future of Family Medicine Project is supported by the following family medicine organizations:
American Academy of Family Physicians
American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation
American Board of Family Medicine
Association of Departments of Family Medicine
Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors
North American Primary Care Research Group
Society of Teachers of Family Medicine
