    The UME-21 project is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration and administered by the American Colleges of Ostepathic Medicine.
     
  • Resident's Teaching Skills Website
    It's all free of charge with no ads, supported by grants as a service to the medical education community. The site includes an opportunity to take the Clinical Teaching Perception Inventory (CTPI), which takes about 10 minutes and gives the user immediate feedback on his or her teaching style.
     
  • AAFP Resources on Research and Clinical Information
    This link contains information about clinical topics, as well as information about family practice research.
      
  • The Access Project
    A non-profit organization dedicated to expanding women’s access to reproductive choice. This site offers information for medical professionals interested in learning about integrating early abortion methods and emergency contraception into their practice.

Modeled after successful campus Family Medicine Interest Groups, Virtual FMIG provides information and resources that empower a student to explore the discipline of family medicine, and topics such as, career choice, role models, leadership development, the Match, residency, clinical resources, technology, and much more.

  • The Center for Policy Studies in Family Practice and Primary Care in Washington -- http://www.aafppolicy.org.
    Seeks to bring a family practice and primary care perspective to health policy deliberations in Washington. Features of the site include a library, information about internship opportunities, and links to various sites and other resources.

  • The Women's Health Site -- www.thewomenshealthsite.org
    This site is a service of the Duke Academic Program in Women's Health, winner of the 2001 NAWH Special Service in Women's Health Award. It was developed as an information resource for health care professionals involved in all aspects of women's health. The site offers a monthly e-zine to registered users on a selected topic each month. Typically, the topic supports a national health initiative. Regular Medical Updates cover all aspects of women's health issues, including gender-specific diagnoses and treatment over a variety of conditions. Additionally, seminars and presentations held at Duke are regularly posted to the site. An events calendar and resource links are provided for ease of use by site visitors.

    AMSSM is an organization made up of dedicated sports medicine physicians. The Web offers educational materials, press releases, sports forums, find a sports medicine doctor search engine, conferences, and sports medicine fellowship and job opportunity listings.

  • The EPEC Project -- www.epec.net
    EPEC is Education on Palliative and End-of-Life Care. The project's mission is to educate all health care professionals on the essential clinical competencies in palliative care. This project has resources to assist physicians and other members of the health care team in changing the experience of illness, dying, and bereavement for patients, families, and health care providers.
