Sept 15, 2019 — The Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM) is pleased to announce Felicia K. Taylor, BA, MBA as its new Executive Director starting November 4.
Taylor has more than 20 years of experience working as an executive for professional associations. She was the director of member services and engagement for the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) since 2006. At NAPNAP, she has been responsible for membership, diversity and inclusion initiatives, business development, and oversight of 50 chapters nationwide and 18 special interest groups. Prior to her work at NAPNAP, Taylor's leadership experience includes working for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers as a manager of business development and membership for 12 years, specializing in membership development, board governance, marketing, and product development.
Taylor currently serves on the Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executives Board of Directors. She is also an alumni of the Diversity Executive Leadership Program, a national leadership program through the American Society of Association Executives. She is a recipient of the New York Society of Association Executives 2018 Outstanding Non-Profit Executive Award.
Felicia holds a B.A. from Rutgers University and a M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix. She earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, awarded by the American Society of Association Executives in 2018.
The Association of Departments of Family Medicine (ADFM) serves Departments of Family Medicine, represented by the Department Chairs and Senior Administrators, as well as by other senior department leaders. Their current members include over 150 Departments of Family Medicine. They host an annual conference, held each February, that attracts over 200 institutional leaders within larger Academic Medical Centers who are leading innovations in clinical care delivery, education of medical students, training of residents, and conduct of research.
STFM has a management agreement with ADFM and participated in the hiring process.
