The CAFM Education Research Alliance (CERA) is accepting applications for this leadership role from any active member of any CAFM organization (ADFM, AFMRD, NAPCRG, or STFM) with research knowledge and expertise.
Committee Tenure: One 2-year term with an option for a second 2-year term

Eligibility
This position is for any active member of any Council of Academic Family Medicine (CAFM) organization (ADFM, AFMRD, NAPCRG, or STFM) with research knowledge and expertise. The mentor director is appointed by the CERA steering committee chair. Applicants with exceptional organizational skills and knowledge of survey-based research are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Actively recruit and engage CERA mentors through presentations and outreach through CAFM organizations.
- Collaborate with CERA survey directors to identify and assign appropriate mentors for each survey.
- Develop and maintain training resources, and provide ongoing support to CERA mentors to ensure effective guidance
- Communicate regularly with mentors to ensure they are progressing with teams on scholarly projects.
- Track mentors assignments, maintaining accurate records for mentor-survey team pairings and sharing updates with CERA staff.
- Ensure that surveys are of high quality and completed on time.
- Actively participate in CERA governance and strategic planning through:
- One in-person, half-day meeting at the STFM Annual Spring Conference
- Two half-day virtual meetings per year
- Additional conference calls/email discussions as needed to offer ideas and make decisions on the priorities, direction, and initiatives of CERA
