Academic Family Medicine Advocacy Committee
The Academic Family Medicine Advocacy Committee represents the interests of family medicine by setting advocacy priorities and communicating them to appropriate government agencies.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility Committee
The Diversity Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility Committee oversees DEIA activities and specific underrepresented in medicine (URiM) activities for the Society, including oversight of antiracism projects, the STFM Diversity Award, URiM Leadership and Mentorship programs, and accessibility work.
Graduate Medical Education Committee
The Graduate Medical Education Committee provides insight and resources to address the needs of family medicine residency programs and educators; provides oversight for the Residency Faculty Fundamentals Certificate Program, the Residency Accreditation Toolkit, and Faculty for Tomorrow activities.
Medical Student Education Committee
The Medical Student Education Committee provides insight and resources to address the needs of family medicine departments and educators, plans the Conference on Medical Student Education, and organizes the STFM track for the American Academy of Family Physicians FUTURE Conference, which used to be called the National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students.
Program Committee
The Program Committee plans the STFM Annual Spring Conference, which serves as a showcase for the latest developments in family medicine education and research.
Research Committee
The Research Committee reviews research papers submitted for the STFM Annual Spring Conference and promotes the continued development of researchers and research activities in family medicine.
Nominations Committee
The Nominations Committee identifies and presents a slate of candidates to the membership, consisting of one candidate for each open position on the Board of Directors.
