STFM Seeks Mentors for Antiracism Learning Collaborative

Application Deadline is January 7, 2022

December 8, 2021—The STFM Antiracism Task Force is seeking individuals to serve as project mentors to the participants selected to take part in the STFM Antiracism Learning Collaborative.

Each project mentor will lend expertise to two project dyads between March 2022 and September 2023. Each dyad, which consists of a URM faculty member and an ally, will be assembling local project teams to implement change to reduce racism within their institutions. Mentors and dyads are expected to meet (remotely) at least quarterly. The mentees are expected to drive these relationships and do the "heavy lifting," with mentors providing advice and encouragement to keep projects moving. Mentors do not have to be from a group underrepresented in medicine.

STFM's Antiracism Task Force will provide mentor and mentee training and supplemental materials for review. Mentors will receive a modest honorarium at the conclusion of the project.
