STFM Is Now Accepting Applications for Multiple Award and Programs
July 2, 2021—The STFM Nominations Committee is seeking nominations for the following initiatives:
F. Marian Bishop Leadership Award
Established in 1990 in honor of F. Marian Bishop, PhD, the F. Marian Bishop Leadership Award is presented by the STFM Foundation to honor senior leaders who have significantly enhanced the credibility of family medicine with a sustained, long-term commitment to family medicine in academic settings.
Nominations are due by August 16, 2021.
The New STFM Diversity Award recognizes an STFM member who best promotes innovative leadership, and impacts change that advances diversity, equity, and/or inclusion in family medicine education through work as a family medicine faculty member.
Nominations are due by October 15, 2021.
The New Faculty Scholars Program
Designed to catalyze developing future STFM and family medicine leaders, this program provides funding for members with outstanding leadership potential with funding to attend the Annual STFM Spring Conference, along with advising and networking opportunities.
Nominations are due by October 18, 2021.
The STFM Innovative Program Award
The STFM Innovative Program Award honors excellence in the development of an original education program or activity for family medicine residents, students or faculty. Nominations are due by October 15, 2021.
The STFM Excellence in Education Award
Designed to recognize and honor outstanding teachers, the STFM Excellence in Education Award recognizes excellence in teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, research, or leadership in education at regional or national levels.
Nominations are due by October 15, 2021.
The Lynn and Joan Carmichael STFM Recognition Award
Recognize and honor STFM members or non-members for advancing family medicine as a discipline, which can include improving resources, defining objectives, and providing other services to the family medicine discipline.
