STFM’s free Advocacy Course has been completely updated and is available today. With its emphasis on taking action, the new course offers more than a dozen ways to jump-start your advocacy work, including a new case study to practice your skills.In addition to a fresh look, content updates include:

  • Timely information about grassroots advocacy
  • How to talk to legislators who may be opposed to your ask
  • How to navigate the complexities of gridlock, government shutdown, and executive authority

Accompanying the updated course, STFM’s Director of Government Relations Nina DeJonghe, MPP, has interviewed four family medicine advocates about their experience getting started in advocacy, how to speak on important issues, and examples of their advocacy wins.
