Scholarship applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a resident who is strongly interested in a career in academic family medicine
- Be a current member of STFM
- Plan to attend the Faculty for Tomorrow Preconference Workshop held 1 day prior to the STFM Annual Spring Conference
The scholarship covers the registration fees for the full-day Faculty for Tomorrow Workshop for Residents and the STFM Annual Spring Conference.
Applications for the 2025 scholarship is closed. Applications for the 2026 scholarship will be accepted in September–October 2025.
To apply for a scholarship, you will need to:
- Make sure you are a current member of STFM.
- Fill out the online application form in September–October 2025.
- Complete the two-part essay (max 500 words per section) within the online application form answering the questions, "Why are you interested in teaching family medicine?" and "How do you think you can make a difference in the future of family medicine?"
