STFM Seeking Nominations for Multiple Awards
July 1, 2022—STFM is currently accepting nominations for the following awards:
F. Marian Bishop Leadership Award
In 1990 STFM established the F. Marian Bishop Leadership Award presented by the STFM Foundation to honor senior leaders who've significantly enhanced the credibility of family medicine in academic settings. The award recipient will be honored during the 2023 STFM Annual Conference and will receive a commemorative award and complimentary conference registration.

The STFM Diversity Award
The STFM Diversity Award recognizes an STFM member who best promotes innovative leadership, impact, and change that advances diversity, equity, and/or inclusion in family medicine education through work as a family medicine faculty member. Self-nominations are welcome.

The STFM Innovative Program Award
The STFM Innovative Program Award honors excellence in the development of an original education program or activity for family medicine residents, students, or faculty. Nominators must have STFM membership, but nominees may be members or nonmembers. Self-nominations are welcome.

The STFM Excellence in Education Award
The STFM Excellence in Education Award recognizes excellence in teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, research, or leadership in education at regional or national levels. The recipient will receive complimentary conference registration and be honored during the 2023 STFM Annual Spring Conference.

The Lynn and Joan Carmichael STFM Recognition Award
Honor an STFM member or non-member for outstanding leadership in advancing family medicine as a discipline. These advancements can include improving resources, defining objectives, and providing other services to the family medicine discipline. The STFM Communications Committee will screen nominations and the STFM Board of Directors will make final selections.
