STFM is looking for members with an interest in chairing a new STFM Collaborative for those who are currently or who aspire to lead family medicine residency learning networks.
An STFM Collaborative is a group of members interested in a specific topic, with plans to communicate and work on projects or activities throughout the year.
Chairs of the STFM Collaborative for Residency Learning Networks will:
- Define a governance model. The goal is to create a governance structure that offers continuity, provides an orientation, and effectively transitions its leaders.
- Work on projects/activities throughout the year. Examples include leadership training, conference submissions, advocacy activities, CERA proposals, or program innovations.
- Consistently communicate to all Collaborative members, at least every 3 months
- Submit annual goals to the STFM Board (summer)
- Submit a yearly collaborative report to the STFM Board (first of the year)
Benefits of being an STFM Collaborative:
- Space for a collaborative meeting at any/all of the STFM conferences
- Online collaboration space in Connect.stfm.org, including the options of a discussion forum and document sharing
- Opportunity to receive up to $500 per year for activities of the community
- May apply for an STFM Project Fund
- Staff support
- Board liaison support
If you have an interest in chairing the new collaborative, email Mary Theobald at mltheobald@stfm.org.
