June 22, 2026—The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine is accepting applications for faculty for the STFM Emerging Leaders Fellowship. This fellowship offers training, tools, and support for new faculty and those who are transitioning to leadership roles. The application deadline is August 21, 2026.Faculty serve for 2 years, from May 2027–May 2029, with the option to serve for an additional 2-year term. Faculty will help with application reviews in the fall of 2026 for the incoming 2027–2028 fellowship class.Faculty will be reimbursed up to $800 in travel expenses to the STFM Annual Spring Conference during their term.
Faculty Needed for Emerging Leaders Fellowship
STFM is seeking two new faculty for the popular Emerging Leaders Fellowship. The faculty will serve from May 2027 to May 2029 with the option for 2 additional years.
Faculty Responsibilities
Faculty responsibilities include:
- Working with the fellowship chair to develop and facilitate fellowship content focused around leadership skill development, project design, and execution
- Facilitating at least two of the monthly 1-hour conference calls with fellows
- Attending and facilitating a 1-day workshop at the STFM Annual Spring Conference
- Planning and facilitating the 2-hour leadership lab workshop at the STFM Annual Spring Conference
- Attending the mid-year fellowship meeting in Kansas City in October
- Serving as an advisor for fellows on their leadership practicum projects
- Working with the fellowship chair to review applications for the incoming fellowship class
