Call for New Faculty for Leadership through Scholarship Fellowship
STFM is seeking three new faculty members to lead the STFM Leadership through Scholarship Fellowship, which offers training and mentorship for early-career and mid-career faculty with a focus on developing scholarly writing skills for academic advancement and leadership.
March 23, 2026—STFM is seeking three new faculty members to lead the STFM Leadership through Scholarship Fellowship. The fellowship offers training and mentorship for early-career and mid-career faculty with a focus on developing scholarly writing skills for academic advancement and leadership.The deadline to apply is Friday, May 15, 2026.One faculty leader will join the fellowship for the 2026 cohort. The other two faculty leaders will join the fellowship for the 2027 cohort. Applicants must be current STFM members with ample published works, experience mentoring writing groups, and teaching leadership.
Other Position Details
- 4-year terms, not renewable
- Travel reimbursed (for workshops only) and annual honorarium provided
Core Faculty Expectations (per program year)
- Plan and present content at two in-person workshops each spanning 2.5 days (October and March)
- Attend the fellowship graduation at the STFM Annual Spring Conference each year in May
- Plan and execute content for monthly Zoom meetings (July–May)
- Lead a small writing group to publish a letter to the editor and original article
- Attend monthly faculty meetings
- Support program assessments and other program reports to STFM leadership
