STFM Welcomes New Board for 2026–2027
At the 2026 STFM Annual Spring Conference last week in New Orleans, LA, a new Board of Directors began its yearlong term serving the STFM membership.
May 13, 2026—At the 2026 STFM Annual Spring Conference last week in New Orleans, LA, a new Board of Directors began its yearlong term serving the STFM membership and guiding the organization as a thought leader in academic family medicine.On the final day of the conference, Molly Clark, PhD, of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, was sworn in as the new STFM president. She replaces Steven Lin, MD, of Stanford University, who now serves on the board as STFM immediate past president.The new board members are:
- Winston Liaw, MD, MPH, University of Houston, president-elect
- David Rakel, MD, University of Wisconsin, member-at-large
- Jacob Prunuske, MD, MSPH, University of South Dakota, STFM Foundation president
The departing members from the board are:
- Joseph Gravel Jr., MD, Medical College of Wisconsin, past president
- Irene Gutierrez, MD, MPH, Touro University, member-at-large
- Evelyn Figueroa, MD, University of Illinois Chicago, STFM Foundation president
