STFM Scholarships

The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) has five scholarships for educators and learners in family medicine. Whether you are a resident, student, or new faculty, there is a scholarship to help you achieve your dreams in family medicine.

Five STFM Scholarships

STFM Advocacy Scholarship for New Faculty

The STFM Advocacy Scholarship for New Faculty provides the opportunity for faculty to attend the Family Medicine Advocacy Summit in Washington, DC, and develop advocacy skills to impact their patient communities. STFM supports up to five scholarships annually.

New Faculty Scholars Program

The STFM New Faculty Scholars Programs helps early career family medicine faculty develop leadership and scholarship skills. Scholars receive 1 year of the New Faculty Scholars coaching, learning, and networking opportunities with senior leadership and other new family medicine faculty.

STFM Faculty for Tomorrow Resident Scholarship

The STFM Faculty for Tomorrow Resident Scholarship provides family medicine residents with the opportunity to attend the full-day Faculty for Tomorrow Workshop for Residents and the STFM Annual Spring Conference. This program is supported by the STFM Foundation and in part by Mary Nolan Hall, MD.

H. Winter Griffith Resident Scholarship

The H. Winter Griffith Resident Scholarship recognizes excellence in practice improvement involving patient-centered care by an outstanding family medicine resident or resident team. The winner is recognized each year during the STFM Conference on Practice & Quality Improvement.

STFM Foundation Student Scholarship

The STFM Foundation supports scholarships for medical students interested in family medicine to attend the STFM Conference on Medical Student Education and present their work to hundreds of educators. Faculty must nominate students for this scholarship.
