Announcing the New STFM Global Health Toolkit
December 1, 2023—Developed as a comprehensive resource for the Global Health curriculum for family medicine residency programs, the new Global Health Toolkit was created as a collaboration between STFM's Global Health Educators Collaborative (GHEC) and the American Academy of Family Physicians Center for Global Health Initiatives (CGHI). It is not intended to be a list of what a program must include in a global health track, but rather what a program could consider based on resources, goals, and resident interests. The toolkit is organized by competency with objectives, core content, optional content, and resources for the content and is useful whether a program is reviewing an existing curriculum or creating a new one.
The authors received funding through an STFM Project Fund Grant to fund the work which is powered by the STFM Foundation.
