New CBME Direct Observation Mobile App Assessments Now Available

May 23, 2024—The new ACGME Family Medicine Program Requirements include several components that require changes in how resident education is delivered and assessed. Beginning in June 2024, the American Board of Family Medicine will require program directors to attest that each resident has finished their residency and is competent in all the Core Outcomes of Family Medicine Residency Education.

The STFM CBME Task Force has worked with New Innovations and MedHub to create direct observation mobile assessments – within their apps – mapped to the 15 Core Outcomes of Family Medicine Residency Education and the ACGME Milestones sub-competencies. These assessments are free and available to all family medicine residency programs.
