The Accreditation Council for Graduate Academic Medicine (ACGME) sets important standards for ensuring excellence in graduate medical education. Tochi Iroku-Malize, MD, MPH, MBA and Omari Hodge, MD, FAAFP devote this podcast episode to demystifying the ACGME and shedding light on the many resources & guidelines it provides. Our hosts address the ways that these program requirements influence policy at residency programs and health systems. Listen to hear more about how specifics of curriculum, faculty ratios, and length of training is all impacted by the ACGME program requirements.
